Many a person may face the dilemma of whether or not their religion supports organ and tissue donation and allows treatment by transplantation. Most major religions of the world are in favour of living and deceased organ donation and transplantation therapy. Organ donation is regarded as the highest form of solidarity and aid to a person in distress. All religions emphasize the importance of respecting human dignity after death and are opposed to organ trafficking.

Wishing to dispel doubts and to help each person decide, we have gathered the views on organ and tissue donation and transplantation held by major religious communities in Slovenia.
